Luis Miguel de Bedout Hernández | Antioqueño entrepreneur, member of the Hernández Family of Antioquia, fonder of the newspaper El Colombiano, the economic newspaper La República and the press agency Colprensa. He is the son of Mercedes Hernández Restrepo, sister of the former conservative senator Jorge Hernández Restrepo, who ran the newspaper company between 1983 and 1991 when Luis Miguel de Bedout took over management.

De Bedout has more than 30 years of experience in El Colombiano S.A. & Cía. S.C.A., company that has been built around the newspaper paisa and that in the last years has diversified its products and brands to stay current in the sector. He has held management positions in the areas of Production, Distribution and Circulation, and Sales and Advertising, and from the 90s until the beginning of 2013 he was a manager. In January 2015 he was appointed President by the Board of Directors.

He is also member of the Boards of Directors of Ediciones El Globo S.A. which publishes the economic newspaper La República, the regional media alliance Grupo Nacional de Medios S.A. which publishes the popular newspaper Q´hubo and the only press agency in the country, COLPRENSA S.A. He is also a member of the Consejo Superior Universitario of the Universidad EAFIT.
