Familia Polanco

Ignacio Polanco Moreno

was named president of Grupo Prisa in 2007 after the death of his father, Jesús de Polanco, who was the founder of Editorial Santillana and one of the promoters of Spain’s El País newspaper. He served as chairman of Grupo Prisa until the appointment of Juan Luis Cebrián in 2012. In that year Prisa's board of directors made Polanco its Honorary President, a title he still holds. Ignacio also chairs the Santillana Foundation and participates in Timón S.A, a PRISA shareholder company of which his brother Manuel is the current Vice President.

 

Manuel Polanco Moreno

Son of Jesús de Polanco and brother of Ignacio Polanco. From a early age he held positions in the different companies of the group. He has held management positions for the El País newspaper for the United States and in the presidency of the newspaper AS. He has worked for the television, entertainment and media areas of the business group. He is currently Vice President of Grupo Prisa.
