Olímpica Stereo

Olímpica Stereo is the most listened radio station in Colombia. It registers a 21% of preference among all the listeners in the country. It belongs to the Organización Radial Olímpica Network, which is owned by the Char Family, one of the most influential of the Colombian Caribbean coast. Olímpica Stéreo manages a mainly musical programming. However, it broadcasts informative sections for 15 seconds several times a day, in which the four most important headlines are presented.

The Organización Radial Olímpica has four radio systems and about 30 frequencies. It also has two brands with presence in Panama (La KY and Radio Mil).

 

It is in the year 1969 when the Char Family purchases Radio Regalos, the seed of the Organización Radial Olímpica ORO. For the period 1972-1973 the Olímpica stations expand with Radio Príncipe (am) and Emisoras Atlántico. In 1978, Olímpica Stereo was officially created. The following year it begins its expansion to the main cities of the country.
