Caracol TV

Canal Caracol is one of the two private channels with national coverage in Colombia. It began broadcasting in 1998 and is the country’s most-watched channel. 72% of television users prefer contents of this channel, compared to national and international channels. It has a general programming, its own news program (Noticias Caracol) and broadcasts four times a day. In the last two years it has created new spaces for talk shows. Likewise, it offers a wide range of products such as soap operas, reality shows, sports programs, comedies and magazines.

The national signal reaches 756 municipalities with 135 analog stations and 24 digital stations. The international signal reaches out to 23 countries.

It is operated by Caracol Televisión S.A., a company owned by the Santo Domingo family, through the Valorem S.A. holding company.
